Sam Roney Obituary
Sam was a native of Reading, PA. Sam moved to Augusta, GA where he retired from Kimberly Clark. He worked as a real estate agent for many years. During his retirement he worked part time for the Thompkins Company. He attended St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and was a former member of AMBUCS, the Irish American Heritage Society and Knights of Columbus.
Family members include his son: Sam Roney IV; grandchild: Austin Roney; and three sisters: Margaret, Teresa, and Kitty.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Ingram celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 106 SRP Drive Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.

My husband and I met Sam during the era of the Augusta Lynx hockey games. Sam was always at the game, in town or out, a true fan. He was such a nice man we always enjoyed talking with. Til we meet again.....
