Samantha Kay Carver-Lattimore
1983 – 2025

Samantha Kay Carver-Lattimore, 42, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2025. She was born May 7, 1983, in Portsmouth to the late Jeffery Carver and Sandra (Boyd) Carver, who survives. Along with her father, she was proceeded in death by a special niece, Tara Carver.

Of all her accomplishments, Samantha's greatest joy in life was her children. She devoted her life to supporting and loving not only them but also many others through the various jobs and roles she fulfilled. A true sports enthusiast, she especially loved cheering when her children played.

Samantha was known for her strong personality and her ability to lead with confidence. Very "Type A" by nature, she used her organizational skills and determination to excel in the positions she held throughout her life. At the same time, she had a fun-loving spirit and was often called the life of the party, bringing energy, laughter, and warmth to those around her.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Darrel Lattimore; her children, Corey (Emily Baker) Carver, Danny Lattimore, Devon Lattimore, and Kayden Lattimore; two grandchildren, Grayson and Everleigh Carver; two brothers, Brian Carver and Jeffery Carver Jr.; and many extended family members and friends who were more like family.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.

Sam I can't believe you are gone! We always had fun when we were together. We never had any bad words and we always got along! I remember the day u walked into my apartment and said,"Bobbi y do u have a pic of my aunt hanging on your wall", my response " what do u mean, that's my aunt" and from there we were going through names and how we had the same aunt (my mama and your dad were first cousins come to find out). It was so fuñny the way it came about from the confused look on your face to the sound of your voice. I'll never forget that. I'll miss running into u and seeing that big smile of yours! I love and I'll miss u cuzzo . U won't be forgotten that's for sure. REST EASY SAM, SOAR HIGH AMONGST THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN
