Samaya Alaina Puentes

Samaya Alaina Puentes, our precious angel, passed away at just four weeks old on December 25, 2025.Though her time with us was brief, she filled our hearts with a love so deep it will remain with us forever.
Samaya was the beloved daughter of Jathan Jasiah Puentes and Faith Alaine Hernandez. From the moment she entered this world, she brought light, joy, and meaning to her family. Her sweet presence, tiny hands, and gentle spirit will forever be cherished.
She is deeply loved by her grandparents: Saleena Ramirez, Siobhan Limón, and JohnPaul Hernandez; and her great-grandparents: Arturo Negrete Limón, Paula Rodriguez, David Gonzalez, and Michelle Lucio.
Samaya will also be lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Javen Rico Puentes, Kalista Jadelynn Puentes, Jayce King Puentes, Jacob Love Hernandez, Noah Alexander Hernandez, and Hope Anita Hernandez, along with many extended family members who adored her deeply.
Samaya Alaina was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Armando Puentes Jr., great-grandfather Paul Hernandez Sr., great-grandmother Gloria Valadez, great aunt Melissa Barrientos, and great aunt Jackie Lynn Rodriguez.
Services A prayer service, led by Pastor David Turnini of Divine Intervention Ministries, will be held on Monday, January 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos, Texas. Final viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 6, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Thomason Funeral Home, followed by burial at Memory Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in San Marcos, where we will lay our precious angel to rest at her final resting place. A reception will follow, and the family would like to extend an invitation to join them, at Hilltop Events, located at 4083 FM 1979 in San Marcos, to honor and remember Samaya's beautiful life.
Though we had to say goodbye far too soon, Samaya's love will live on in our hearts forever. We find comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully, surrounded by angels, watching over us with endless love.
