Sambath Mok Obituary
Sambath Mok was born on February 3, 1966, in Battambang, Cambodia. He survived the horrors of the Khmer Rouge and fled to the United States in 1981, where he rebuilt his life with resilience and determination. In 1985, he married Maren Houp in an arranged marriage that lasted his lifetime.
Sambath worked tirelessly, often traveling for work, to provide a better future for his family. Though frequently away, his heart was always with his loved ones. He is survived by his father, siblings, and extended family and was predeceased by his mother, a brother, and three nephews.
Sambath’s life was defined by perseverance, sacrifice, and love. His journey from war-torn Cambodia to a life of hope in America is a testament to his strength. He leaves behind a legacy of courage and devotion that will forever inspire those who knew him.
As we honor his memory, let us reflect on the Buddha’s words: “Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.” Rest in peace, Sambath.
