Barbara J. Mok

Barbara J. Mok, born on April 13, 1932 in Huntsville Alabama was the only child of the late John McDowell and Alma (née Lewis). Barbara, a longtime resident of Maple Heights, Ohio passed away Friday, December 27, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank (Sze Fong) Mok; a devoted mother of Franette Mok and Bobby L. (Sylvia) Mok Sr. Cherished grandmother, "Beebe" of Bobby L. Mok II and Alaina L. Mok.
Barbara was a devoted Christian who accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She graduated from Howard High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and went on to attend community college. Devoted private duty nurse for 28 years. Barbara enjoyed reading, cooking, listening to jazz music and watching old movies. She was also active in her community as a school guard and PTA President for Maple Heights School district. Barbara was an avid basketball fan who will be missed as the basketball "go to" person for her family and friends. Her presence will not only leave a void in the hearts of her family, but several close and dearest neighborhood friends.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Barbara's name to St. Labre Indian School (www.stlabre.org).
