SAMIR J HADDAD, age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born on January 25.1937 in Lebanon to Joseph Haddad (deceased) and Dorothy Kassis Haddad (deceased) and came to the USA in 1952. Sam was the beloved husband for 58 years to the late Dolores (Lipke) Haddad before her passing in July 2019. He was the loving father of Dorothy Vahcic (Alan), Laura Gonzalez (Ray), Amy Haddad. Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Michael) Mendrea, Caleb (Shaley) Vahcic, Rachel (Fiancé Ryan Dever) Vahcic, Jordan Gonzalez, Heather (Justin) Vahcic, Bethany Gonzalez. Great grandfather of 7. He was the beloved brother of Mona (Abdullah) Mina and Nabiha (Hal, deceased) O'Donnell, brother-in-law of Miriam (deceased) (Hubert, deceased) Gratton, Lois (Sonny) Harrison, Martha (Ron) Berquist, dear uncle of Terri (Phil) Vasilakis, Hal (Olga) O'Donnell, Michael (Nadine) Mina, Dorothy Mina. He was also loved by many cousins, and nieces and nephews on his wife's side of the family. Sam was an extrovert who spent his career in the insurance business and never met a stranger, and his favorite topic was to share the love of his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ with any who would listen. He loved to study the Word of God and left a legacy of messages on his YouTube channel, "Bible Study with Sam H." He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday June 21, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM with the service at 11:00 AM. Visitation and service will be at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake, Ohio. Interment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens. The family would also like to thank the staff of Mentor Ridge Nursing Home for their love and care for Sam over the last six years.
