Sammy Allen Savage, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Greenville, Texas. Born on September 10, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, Sammy lived a life filled with dedication to his family and his career.
Sammy's career in sales at Rugby showcased his strong work ethic and passion for connecting with people. Beyond his professional achievements he was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army, a testament to his commitment to his country. In a loving union, Sammy married Shirley G. Savage on March 11, 2006, at Lake Tawakoni, a partnership that enriched both their lives and the lives of their family.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Shirley G. Savage; his daughters, Shonna Patterson and Tonya Brumit and her husband Cory Brumit; his stepdaughter, Jami Joslin; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Kaough-Torres and her husband Jonno Torres, Skiler Brown, Lamia Patterson, Logan Brumit, and Riley Brumit ; four great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy; his brothers, Larry S. Savage and Archie Savage, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Cloe S. Savage and Norma J. Savage; his wife, Deanna Kay Savage; his son, Sammy A. Savage, Jr. Their memories and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Sammy's legacy of love and devotion will live on through his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation will be held at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas, on February 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on February 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home. Sammy will then be laid to rest at Crandall Cemetery in Crandall, Texas, with interment scheduled for 1:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Larry Savage, Dan Savage, Jason Savage, Riley Brumit, Cory Brumit, and Archie Savage.
