Linda Joyce Jackson of
Greenville, Texas was born on June 7, 1946 in
Royse City, Texas to Otis and Bernice Fikes. She passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. She graduated from Royse City High School. Linda married Kenneth Earl Jackson, Sr. on August 22, 1962, in
Rockwall, Texas. After many years Linda and Kenneth divorced but remained friends and were still active with family gatherings.
In 1983 Linda began working for the U.S. postal service as a mail carrier and retired in 2016. Linda enjoyed bingo, baking, cooking and making jam. She also enjoyed going out to eat with family. Her favorite food was from the Olive Garden and also loved Mexican food (chicken enchiladas and cream sauce). Linda loved taking care of her grand babies. Earlier in life she and her husband owned a dairy farm and took care of 3 busy boys. They were very active in their children's school activities and sports.
Linda is survived by her children, Kenneth Earl Jackson, Jr. and wife Shannon of
Greenville, Texas, Richard Vernon Jackson and wife Michelle of Terrell, Texas and Jimmy Dale Jackson of Quinlan, Texas, grandchildren, Ashley Marie Jackson, Kenneth (Trey) Jackson, Aaron Doss and wife Cayden, Lacy Harden, Richard Jackson and wife Megan, James Jackson and Miranda Wright, great-grandchildren, Lileigh, Kristopher, Wesley, Remington, Beau and Miranda, Brooklynn, Coralee and Hattie.
Linda is preceded in death by her former spouse Kenneth Jackson, Sr., siblings, Olan, Mozell, Farlon, Audrey, Bertha and her parents. Linda had a beautiful spirit and loving personality and will be dearly missed.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home, located at 2500 State Highway 66 East,
Rockwall, TX, 75087. Her service will follow at 2:00pm.
