It is with both deep sorrow and gratitude for his life that we announce the passing of Jacob Aaron Owen, age 31, of Alba, Texas. Jacob, affectionately known as "Jake" by his family and friends, entered into eternal rest on October 22, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with chronic myeloid leukemia. Jake was born on July 28, 1994, in Garland, Texas, to parents Perry Steven Owen and Kari Collene Aultman. He passed from Dallas, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jake's family originally created a GoFundMe page to help with his medical expenses during his brave fight with leukemia. A public time of visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025, in Reflections Chapel at Rest Haven Funeral Home, located at 2500 State Highway 66 East, Rockwall, Texas 75087.

A funeral service to honor the life of Jake will be held the following day, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also in Reflections Chapel, with Pastor Eddie Hibdon and Pastor Danny Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow once the chapel service concludes at Rest Haven Memorial Park, in the Garden of Resurrection, all located on-site.

Those wishing to send flowers for the service may do so through The Flower Box by Rest Haven at (972) 772-3269. Independent florists may deliver directly to Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall by 5:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025 to ensure all floral arrangements are displayed properly for Jake's visitation in a timely manner.
