Sampson "Boo" Joel White was born on October 17, 1968 in Sisseton, South Dakota, the son of Armantha White and Sampson De Marrias. He passed away on April 30, 2024 at his residence in Sisseton, South Dakota.
Sampson attended grade school in Sisseton and later completed his GED in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Boo loved listening to music. He listened to classical, rock-n-roll, especially Guns N' Roses. He could tell you the name of any song and the name of the singer in a second, as long as he could hear his music, he was happy. Boo also enjoyed, playing Whist, watching movies, hanging out with his cousins, nephews, his uncle and friends, sometimes watching the Vikings (his favorite team) with the boys. Sampson loved his family so much. He had such a big kind loving heart. He is missed and loved by his family and will always be remembered by his sense of humor, his love, kindness and generosity.
Survived by one daughter: Leanna La Fromboise and grandchildren; brother: Paul White; sister: Belva White.
Preceded in death by his mother: Armantha White; father: Sampson De Marrias; infant sister: Stephanie Leigh White; maternal grandparents: Josephine LaPoint and Paul White Turtle; paternal grandparents: Fanchon King and Sampson De Marrias; special uncle: Tuffy White; special cousins: Murphy Hill and Lance Minor.
Officiating will be Pastor Philmore Simon
Pianist will be Billy Kohl
Drum Group will be Long Elk
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Paul White, Cameron Charboneau, Chris Feather, Prescott St. John, Dylan DuMarce, Earl DeMarrias, Bruce DeMarrias, Leonard Du Marce Jr., Aaron Wozna, Randy White, Stephanie Keeble, Special aunt and uncle: Nathan and Ruth Hill; special friend Donna DuMarce; 2 special granddaughters: Deserae Bird and Emalayah Charboneau, Katie, Liz, Mniyata Hill and families, Jackie Beetem, Peggy King, Brenda King, Nolita Hill and family, LaCassa DuMarce and family, Sammi Jo DuMarce and family, Amelia Starkey-Roy, Ricky Hill, Lenora "Skiiskii" Haug, Erin DuMarce, Wilma King and Raven TwoHearts and family.
Casket Bearers will be Delroy Hill, Leighton "Punchy" Hill, Christopher Charboneau, Gage White, Michael White, Bob Beetem, Zack Hill, Wayne "Samples" German Jr., Winston Eastman and Chauncey Hill.
All-night visitations will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 and Tuesday, May 7, 2024 beginning at 7:00 P.M. at the Big Coulee District Center.
A funeral service for Sampson "Boo" White will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Ascension Presbyterian Church in Peever, South Dakota.
Interment will be held at the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery in Peever, South Dakota
