Samuel Atkin Obituary
Sam was born November 7, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to the late Alvin and Ione (Spencer) Atkin. Sam married Patricia Sherbrook in November of 1963, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. For 43 years, Sam dedicated himself to his work as a driver for Anderson Logistics. A devoted Christian and a true man of God, Sam's strong faith was a guiding light for him and those around him. He was a family man through and through, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with Patricia, their daughters, and especially their cherished grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. In his free time, Sam enjoyed gardening, listening to the oldies and rock 'n' roll from the 50s and 60s, and reminiscing about the great concerts he attended in his younger years. He also loved to travel and spent many happy hours woodworking, creating beautiful pieces that will hold special memories for his loved ones. Sam leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and compassion, and there truly was no one like him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Wife, Patricia Atkin: Daughters: Stacey Atkin-Piper, Kristi (Daniel) Lang and Teena Goff: Grandchildren: Joey (Pam) Collins, Jimmy (Danielle) Collins, Samantha Collins and Lucas Atkin; Great Grandchildren: Aria Collins, Julianna Collins, Zoey Collins, Maci Collins. He is preceded in passing by his parents and grandson, Michael Lane. The family would like to send a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for all the care especially to Shannon and Fay.
