Samuel Averell Jr.

Samuel Averell, Jr. passed away on November 19, 2025 at the age of 91. Longtime resident of Marlton, NJ. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Diane Averell (nee Simon). Devoted father of John and his wife Tammy and James and his wife Christina. Adoring grandfather of Lauren (Jack), Katharine (Melissa), Nick (Angela), Christopher "CJ", Charles, Sarah and Frank. Dear great grandfather of Gwen and Calvin. Sam was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Sam worked for the Exelon Philadelphia Electric Company for over thirty years. He enjoyed reading and traveling with Diane. He will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his unique sayings, and his love of Philadelphia Sports teams. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday December 1st from 10-11 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt.73 South, Marlton, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
