Samuel Aaron Calahan age 50, of Clifton, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2023 in Temple, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial will be in the Kopperl Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kevin King, Brian Taylor, Scott Carter, James Zavala, Billy Knippers, Sean Anderson, Dusty Lynch, David Maness and Lane Sorenson.

Samuel Aaron Calahan was born on November 14, 1973 in Clifton, Texas to Charles and Norma Fields Calahan. He was a 1992 graduate of Meridian High School. While in school he was voted class clown. Aaron continued being the class clown up until his passing. Aaron never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone in need. He continued to help people even after his passing since he made the decision to donate his organs to be able to gift someone more time in life. Aaron was a huge family man and always found the time to be outdoors farming. Aaron was always on the hunt for a bargain and would try to barter if he could.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Julie Calahan; mother, Norma Calahan; step-son, Logan Rumrill and wife, Ruby; siblings, T.J. Calahan, Beverly Calahan and fiance, Gerald Hudson; in-laws, Charles and Donna Elleven; sister-in-law, Kristi Campoe and husband, Alex; nephews, Hunter Calahan, A.J. Calahan, Lucas Campoe and fiance, Kim, Nicholas Campoe; nieces, Destanie Teichelmann and husband, Matt, Lee Ann Calahan, Lauren Campoe and wife, Sarah, Vanessa Campoe; great-niece, Presley Teichelmann; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a multitude of friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles Calahan; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Rosell Calahan; and maternal grandparents, Reuben and Vestia Lee Fields.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
