Billy, born on February 1, 1951, in Meridian, Texas, departed this world peacefully in his sleep on March 2, 2026, in Hico, Texas. He was an electrician for several years before he retired.
Billy attended Iredell Public Schools and embraced a simple life.
He leaves behind his sister, Linda Graves, and Jerry of Georgetown, Texas; his brothers Larry Boyd and wife Lezlie of Tyler, Texas, and Lowell Boyd and wife Kathy of Georgetown, Texas.
In addition to his family, Billy was survived by his close friends Steve Allen, Nathan Potter and long lost cousin, Tim Boyd; along with his uncle, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Lamona and W. E. Boyd, along with his brother Max Boyd.
Services will be held privately.
He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Hill Country Estates in Hico, Texas, as well as the CCS Hospice nurses and caretakers.
