Samuel Lee Coleman, Jr. was born on October 5, 1953, in Opelika, Alabama, to the late Mrs. Inell Richardson Coleman and Samuel Lee Coleman, Sr.

Sam was a hardworking and dedicated man who took pride in his work and providing for his family. He was employed for many years at Oberdorfer LLC, where he remained until he retired.

Samuel Lee Coleman, Jr. departed this life on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Syracuse, at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Coleman.

He leaves to cherish his memories his fiancée, Patricia Davis; his stepsons, Jermaine Davis and Termaine Davis, all of Syracuse; his daughter, Danielle Bloodshaw of Mississippi; and his son, D. Bloodshaw . Sam was a devoted family man who cared deeply for those he loved.

He is also survived by four sisters: Helen Coleman of Syracuse; Mae (James) Singleton of Opelika, Alabama; Rose (John) Griffith of Milledgeville, Georgia; and Mary Preer of Smiths Station, Alabama.

Two brothers also survive him: Quinton (Theresa) Coleman of Syracuse and Wenford (Maria) Coleman of Tampa, Florida.

Sam will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and love for his family. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will truly miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Farone & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
