He was born in Homerville, GA but has lived in Waycross most of his life. He was formerly employed with Conley Sheet Metal and raised in the Church of God faith.
He is survived by three children, Koda Beverly of Waycross, Brittany Turner of Jacksonville, FL, and Lance Cox (Taylin) of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren; his parents, Rev. Shelton and Linda Cox of Waycross; four siblings, Gail Johnson (Rick) of Alma, Everett Cox (Pamela) of Leesburg, GA, Rev. Billy Cox (Deborah) of Roanoke, VA, and Rev. John Cox (Charlene) of Waycross; a half-sister, Lori Thomas (Stan) of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (November 5, 2022) at Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy in Manor. Burial will follow in Camp Branch Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.

Rest easy. We came a long way from Manor elementary. Im sure there is a weight bench and Bee hive in heaven ready and waiting for you. I´ll be there to help you one day, save me a chair at the table.
