Samuel Dingle Obituary
Samuel Curtis Dingle blessed the world with his presence on July 29, 1955, born in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Mable Carter Dingle. He was reared in a loving and giving home with his seven brothers and four sisters. He married the love of his life, the former Peggy Williams. This union was blessed with two amazing children, Krystle and Curtis. At the age of 70, he transferred peacefully from this life to his eternal rest on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Samuel graduated from Sumter Highschool in Sumter, South Carolina. After graduation, he desired to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. Upon his return from service, he continued his education at the Sumter Area Technical College. He used skills learned while serving in the military and college within multiple jobs throughout his forty year career, retiring from the Environmental Services department at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.
Samuel will be remembered as a generous person who loved connecting with others. He found joy and comfort in books, and spent many hours by the water pursuing his love of fishing. Above all, Samuel was known for his willingness to help anyone in need, offering support, compassion, and a steady hand without hesitation.
Samuel leaves to cherish his precious memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Peggy Dingle; one son: Mr. Curtis Dingle of Long Beach, California; one daughter: Ms. Krystle Dingle of Lakewood, California; three brothers: Mr. Henry O'Neal Dingle, Mr. Timothy D. Dingle, both of Sumter, South Carolina, and Mr. Percy(Faye) Dingle of Anderson, South Carolina; four sisters: Mrs. Bertha M. Green of Hinesville, Georgia, Mrs. Alma R. Mack, Mrs. Dorothy Tisdale, and Mrs. Betty (Frankie) J. Smalls all of Sumter, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his brothers Henry M. Carter, Emmanuel Dingle, Willam E. Dingle, and James Carter.
