Donald Dingle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Services, P.C. - Turbotville on Feb. 21, 2026.
Donald Eugene Dingle, 59, of Lewisburg passed away at home unexpectantly on Thursday, February 19, 2026. While he lived in Lewisburg for 33 years, he was originally a native of the Turbotville/Exchange area growing up on the family farm near Montour Preserve.

He was born on February 11, 1967, at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, Pa to the late Ronald William Dingle, Sr and Dorothy Florence McCoy. He graduated from Warrior Run High School in 1985 and recently attended his 40thclass reunion. He graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies, Secondary Education in December 1988.

He has held many jobs over the years. He started at Weis Markets in Danville in the meat department and went on to be a substitute history teacher/tutor at Warrior Run and assistant football coach. He eventually went to work at American Home Foods in Milton and finished his career at Merck in Riverside retiring in 2025. In the past few years, he has worked for Falcon Race Timing and planned to do these in his golden years.

Don lived a very active life. He was an avid runner and ran in over 110 marathons in at least 30 different states. He planned it out so that his 100th marathon was at Gettysburg since he was a huge Civil War historian with Gettysburg being his specialization. He earned a special college certification in Gettysburg history and was working towards trying to become an official guide.

Disney was a big part of Don's life. He enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren to the parks to spend time with them and make memories. He also ran many marathons at Disney and met his marathon partner on the Dopey Run.

He had a love for things that his parents were involved in. Like his father, he was a co-owner of Blue Run Farm, Inc.- a hunting and fishing club located in Tioga County where he served as Secretary/Treasurer for several years. His hunting skills bagged him a bounty of different game over the decades. Like his mother, he was big into genealogy, spending hours researching the family history and was working towards writing a family history book of the McCoy's.

Don loved wrestling. He was an assistant coach when his children were in school and was preparing to help his grandson begin. He was the announcer for all home matches for the Lewisburg Green Dragons. He actively helped with the Rick Fisher tournament and the Matbackers. He hosted the wrestling team every year for a retreat at the Blue Run Farm cabin which was greatly enjoyed by all.

Family was everything to Don. He was incredibly proud of his children and their accomplishments. He doted on his grandchildren who meant to world to him. He also spent time with his siblings and many relatives at family reunions. He loved to share and hear family stories.

He is survived by one daughter, Amber Dingle, of Lewisburg; two sons, Michael & Theresa Lehman of Olean, New York and Terrell & Morgan Lehman of Milton; six grandchildren: Danika, Savannah, Harper, Finley, Lakelyn, & Ridge Lehman; one brother, Ron & Allison Dingle of Catawissa; one sister, Michele & Kevin Fisher of Trevorton; his stepmother, Sandy Dingle of Galeton; the mother of his daughter, Lisa Boyer of Duncannon; and his marathon running partner, Julie Landrum of Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother in Sept 1972.

A visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home in Turbotville on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm. His service will be Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11am. Burial will be at Pleasant Hills Cemetery in Hughesville following the service. Rev. Greg Clendaniel will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Lewisburg Wrestling Matbackers to establish a scholarship in his memory.
