Samuel "Flutie" Dondre Drigo, born on June 2, 1994, in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, left this world on December 8, 2023. Samuel spent his formative years in Rochester, NY, then later moved to Falls Church, VA. He graduated from J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church. While in high school, Samuel actively participated in sports, playing football and basketball.
Samuel will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor. He had a unique ability to make people laugh and feel welcome, even if it meant sharing a joke about himself. His funny anecdotes and warm spirit created an atmosphere of joy wherever he went.
Samuel's passion for music was evident to all who knew him. He had the privilege of sharing his talent on the radio and opening shows for renowned rappers. His vibrant spirit and infectious smile could light up any room, and his laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Clara Drigo, and his six siblings: Sean Joseph (Natalie), Telica Scotland, Nellica Ducreay, Me'Shell Sheffield (Daniel), Terry Drigo (Ryan), and Charnelle Drigo.
Samuel was a cherished member of his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was also an adored uncle to nine nieces and nephews: Aniyah Joseph, Aadirayana Joseph, Sieanna Joseph, Josiah Joseph, Cam'ron Scotland, Sanaya White, Nyla Sheffield, Zaire Drigo, and Kai Drigo.
Samuel is mourned by many uncles and aunts, whose lives he touched with his warmth and joy, as well as countless cousins who shared in his vibrant spirit. In addition to his family, Samuel leaves behind many friends who cherished his company and were touched by his kindness.
During this difficult time, we remember Samuel for the joy he brought into our lives, his dedication to family and his music, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
