Samuel Middleton Dunmore was born December 4, 1967, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Booker T. Dunmore, Sr. and Naomi (Rush) Dunmore. He was the youngest of nine (9) children. If you were wondering... YES, he was spoiled rotten... Even as an adult!
Sam graduated from South Hills High School in 1985, where he played football until his junior year. After graduation, Sam attended a trade school, where he studied to become a paralegal. For ten years, he worked as a data processor for Allegheny General Hospital. Later, he was employed as a jitney driver for the Beltzhoover Avenue Jitney Station.
Sam was a caring man who gave back to his community. For many years, he volunteered at the Light of Life Rescue Mission. The joy and fulfillment of volunteering inspired him to obtain his Minister's License from the Church of the Living God
Raised in a Christian home, with a father who was an Elder and a Pastor, Samuel accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He deeply loved the Lord and his family. He also loved to sing, fish, cook, and EAT.
Sam sang all kinds of music. But his favorite was a good old fashioned gospel hymn. His favorite hobby was fishing: solo, or with family and friends, usually at the North Park Lake. He also enjoyed gambling, and socializing with the ladies, at the Rivers Casino.
On July 4, 2025, at the age of 57, Samuel transitioned this life.
Both parents and three (3) brothers precede Samuel in death. Parents: Elder Booker T. Dunmore, Sr. and Naomi (Rush) Dunmore. Also, his brothers:
Raymond Louis, Ondray, and Booker T. Dunmore, Jr.
Samuel Middleton Dunmore leaves to cherish his loving memories: his only child, Sharese Dunmore (his precious Reese cup, who faithfully cared for him when his health declined); five (5) sisters: (Ada) Ruth Dunmore, Charlotte (Romyne) Walters, Deloris Dunmore, Elaine King and Rebecca Tucker;
Favorite Aunt Eva M. Williams; (Adopted Sister) Linda Smith; Grandsons:
Cayden Dunbar, Jaeon and Jayceon Dickerson; (Adopted Stepchildren): Mari Watts and Keith Phipps; several nieces and nephews, and a host of cous-ins.
To know Sam was to love Sam. He fought a good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Though he is absent from the body, he is present with the Lord, rejoicing in eternal peace.- Corinthians 5:7-8
