I knew Sam in High School. He was well regarded by the theater nerds (like me) as an affable fellow with good comic instincts (his Dogberry in "Much Ado About Nothing" was legendary). He was also on one of the best Improv teams (Ditto) ever assembled. I am so sorry he will not be attending the 50 year reunion in 2026. It would have been epic.

Sam was a good friend to me, always. I'm sure he's getting a laugh about how often he hijacks my thoughts this year! I love him for all the ways he propped me up when I was down and taught me how to take better care of myself and my family. And although I recall telling him that I forgave him for the extreme Marie-Kondo organization of my spare room, I can't remember if I also thanked him for it. His help that year was life changing for me. I know he was that friend to many others. I hope he knows I adore him. He was also FUN! Playing at the lake, especially the Lake Powell houseboat trips, hanging out in the mountains when the valley was too hot, and having a beer (or more) at the end of the work week and then laughing and eating until the sun came up (or someone fell asleep). You could take him anywhere--he was likeable, intelligent, and kind--he was genuine and authentic and always saw the best in people--plus he was the best office Xmas party date I ever had. Sending love to his family and friends with a sincere wish that your own memories are giving you peace and comfort.

Sam was one in a million.
An incredible friend, who was a friend for life.
Whom you could trust with your life.
After a lifetime of laughing, and sharing most of my journey as part of Sam´s life.
I feel one more person should be recognized, for her love and commitment to her little brother.
His sister Sheryl, played an instrumental part of his journey on this planet. She has been there from the day he arrived until he left us.
I know your bond was epic and how much your heart aches.
