Samuel Lee Jenny, II, 66, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born on May 6, 1957, St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Samuel Lee Jenny and Carol Lee (Langenwalter) Bell. Sam married Cheryl Lynn Woolsey on October 17, 1998, and she survives. He worked as a pumper in the oilfield along with owning and operating Two Cycle and Tool Repair, and was a Stihl dealer. Sam enjoyed working in his machine shop and was an avid military enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl Lynn Jenny of Carmi, IL, Sam is survived by his father, Samuel Lee (Janet) Jenny, I of Highland, IL; two sons, Samuel Lee (Katie) Jenny, III of Norris City, IL and John Walter Martin of Mt. Vernon, IN; a grandchild, Kamille Johnson of Norris City, IL; a sister, Susan Sauls of Wilmington, NC; niece and nephews, Robert Sauls, Richard Sauls and Kate (Michael) Klaus; close family friends, Bob Paschal and Rick Stein; and his furbabies, Sherlock, Watson, and Binx. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Lee Bell and a granddaughter, Chelsi Johnson.
Funeral services for Samuel Jenny II, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sam's memory to the Carmi Rifle Club and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
