Samuel Thomas Johnson, affectionately known as Sammy T, was born on May 16, 1940, in Mexia, Texas to Leola Keaton and Manuel Johnson. He passed away on June 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Dallas, Texas.

Sammy T led a diverse and fulfilling life, beginning his career as an art school teacher before transitioning to work in the aerospace with companies like Lockheed Martin. Eventually, he established his own successful business, Low Cost Plumbing, where he showcased his skills and dedication until his well-earned retirement.

One of the most cherished memories of Sammy T by his wife is his straightforward nature and witty trash-talking. Known for speaking his mind and being a great cook - with gumbo being his specialty - he brought laughter and warmth to all who knew him. His personality was a unique blend of humor, wisdom in teaching right from wrong, and a knack for cracking jokes that left everyone in stitches.

Aside from his professional achievements, Sammy T was a man of many talents and interests. He served in the US Army for 2 years, further demonstrating his dedication to serving others. In his leisure time, he pursued singing, dancing, and playing the keyboard as a musician.

A proud graduate of Madison High School and Prairie View A&M University, Sammy T's proudest accomplishment was being a builder; he constructed a BBQ pit that stood as a testament to his craftsmanship and hard work.

In addition to leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love, Sammy T is survived by his beloved spouse Sandra; son Kevin; four daughters: Virginia (Earl), Cherisha, Kristal (Michael), and Casstardra (Clarence); brother Aubrey; sister Bobbie Jean; aunt Sarah; nieces Karen and Brinna; nephews Bradd , Brandon and Towlwen; as well as 13 grandchildren along with great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Sammy T's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him best but also serves as a reminder of the joyous moments shared with a man who touched so many lives with his humor, warmth, and unwavering love for family. May his memory be eternal.
