A time to live: Samuel Jones was born in LaCrosse, FL, on April 22, 1923, to his Kingdom Investment Ministry, Tucker, Georgia parents, Silas Jones and Julia Lawson Jones. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized and served as a faithful member of Usher Board #2 at Mount Olive AME Church in Jacksonville, FL for all his healthy years. Sam attended school at the Alachua County Training School. Samuel known as (S.M.) married his love, Lovella Holmes (affectionately known as Ma'Dear ) on March 25th, 1943 in their hometown of Alachua, Florida.

Sam's passion was working with his hands and crafting. He found his niche in the field of automotive repairs. Working in multiple repair shops to hone his skills he ultimately made his "shop" in the garage of his home. When that garage door

opened, you could be sure to find family and friends working alongside, passing tools, sharing stories, learning tips, and most notably enjoying a meal.

A time to rest: On Thursday, July 31st, The Lord decided to reunite him with his wife of over eighty (80) years. He leaves an abundance of memories for his family, church, and friends to cherish which includes: Son, Samuel Jones, Jr (Portland,

OR); Daughters, Ernestine (Effie) Sims, Lula Brown and Berlinda Robinson (Jacksonville, FL); He and his wife adopted, Mendell Brown, Gloria Roberson, and Mary Ann Dunbar; 6 Grandchildren; Tolanna, Rudolph, and Roderick Drewery,
