Samuel Mason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home on Feb. 16, 2026.
Samuel "Sam" A. Mason, 58, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2026, surrounded by his family and his loving friends from The Arc Gloucester.

Sam lived his life with joy, humor, and heart. He had a deep love for music, especially The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Neil Diamond. Whether it was singing along to his favorite songs or sharing them with others, music was one of the many ways Sam connected with the world around him. He was also a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. A good cup of coffee was another one of his simple pleasures.

For decades, Sam proudly worked at Wawa, where he was affectionately known as the "coffee guy" and served as a longtime General Manager. He was known and loved by countless customers and coworkers alike. Sam never met a stranger. He was always quick with a joke, generous with a hug, and never shy about flashing a smile or charming the ladies. His warmth and playful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Ray Mason. Sam leaves behind George's children; Brittany Mason, Christina Leary (née Mason), Ace Mason, and Paige Mason. He is also lovingly remembered by his great-nephews Easton, Slater, Everett, Oliver, and Graham, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sam's memory to The Arc Gloucester @ www.thearcgloucester.org

Sam's laughter, music, and big-hearted hugs will be deeply missed, but the joy he brought to so many will live on forever.
