Samuel McNabb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Jun. 6, 2025.
Samuel (Sam) McNabb, 64 of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Sam passed into eternity
peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Houston, Texas to
Samuel McNabb, Sr and the late Barbara Jungmann McNabb. Sam is survived
by the love of his life Debbie and was married 39 years. They shared two
daughters, Samantha Nicole (Daniel) and Nikki Christine (John) and step-son,
Derrick Johns.
Sam also leaves behind a sister, Terry (Gordon) Hughes, brother Mike (Alicia)
Lavender, nephews Jack, Stephen, Sean, Brandon, nieces Bethany & Bayleigh
along with numerous great nephews and nieces.
His greatest love of all were his granddaughters Kaylee, Karlee, Harley, Faith
and Kara. Those little girls had that big 6'4" tough man completely wrapped
around their fingers. Their Paw Paw loved them to the moon and back millions
of times.
Sam was a lineman by trade and worked several years with Texstar
Enterprises and later was a foreman with Quest Utility Construction. He was
instrumental helping build Quest from the ground up to what it is today. His
partners, Roman and Big Mike were dear to him. They could all fight, cuss and
laugh in the next minute like good ole boys but always got the job done. He
was known as a legend in his field. He taught many along his years of service.
When Sam was not at work he was at his local hangout, Bucks Saloon,
hunting or fishing with his daughters or friends. His uncle Tom once said, give
that boy a pole and he could find a fish in a puddle of water. Sam taught his
daughters how to fish with the best of them. He would always smile when
they reeled in a big one.
When the girls were growing up if they ever injured themselves, he would
make them mad and always say, you'll be okay, it's a long way from your
heart. What they didn't know is through their Daddy's toughness he was
preparing them to stand up for themselves in this world. He loved his girls. Sam will be missed by all, rest peacefully, thank you for years of memories.
He always said, Sounds good, turn it up. Until we meet again, know you are
loved and will never be forgotten.
Celebration immediately following the service will be at his favorite hangout,
Bucks Saloon, 3751 Loop 1604 South, Adkins, Tx.
