Samuel Miler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Staton-Borowski Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.
Samuel "Sam" Lee Miller, 70, entered eternal rest on March 12, 2026, following a brief illness. A beloved brother and uncle, he was surrounded by loved ones at home at the time of his passing.

Sam was born in Warren, Ohio, on June 8, 1955, to Sammie Lee Miller and Bertha (Evans) Miller, and lived his entire life in Warren. He graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School in 1975. Sam was employed with the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineers' Office, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2021.

Sam was baptized in Jesus' name in January 1967 and was filled with the Holy Spirit on January 12, 1976, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church under the ministry of the late Bishop Norman L. Wagner. Over more than 45 years of devoted membership, he served in various roles and dedicated his life to serving God. Well-versed in the Bible, Sam enjoyed sharing the Gospel and living out his faith through kindness, generosity, and compassion toward others. His faith in God gave him strength to overcome life's challenges.

A lifelong learner, Sam was an avid reader with a deep love for history. He enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering for the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also cherished traveling with family and dining out. Sam's sense of humor and warm smile were truly infectious.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his brothers, Ronald Evans (Tommy Seen), Timothy Miller (Emerly), and Michael Miller; his sisters, Linda Miller, Shirley Miller, Angela Miller-Parker, and Sherry Miller; along with a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, relatives, and dear friends. To many, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Sam."

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Palmer Boggs, and his brother Ramone Miller.

Though he is no longer with us, his love remains in our hearts, and his impact will be felt for years to come. We find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of God, whom he trusted deeply.

Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1812 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44507. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will take place at Pineview Cemetery, 4049 Youngstown Rd., Warren, Ohio 44484, followed by a repast at Aulizio's Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown Rd., Warren, Ohio.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330- 394-6200. Dedicated To Serving Your Loved Ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
