Samuel (Sam) G. Moore, 71, just shy of 72, passed from this world on September 13, 2025, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, with his wife by his side after a bout with several illnesses and an injury.

Honoring Sam's wishes, there will be no services held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Sam Moore and Misty Peddy were married on February 7, 2009, in Laughlin, Nevada.

Sam was born on September 23, 1953, to Mary Sue (Kelly) Moore and the late Joe Clovis Moore. He retired from Bruckner Truck Sales after a long career as a master diesel mechanic. He loved being a diesel mechanic and teaching new mechanics how to troubleshoot. Sam loved being a member of the quiz team that won numerous accolades. He enjoyed going to lunch on Friday with his work companions and talking shop. He loved taking Harley rides with his wife and grandsons up until the time he decided not to ride. Sam loved living his life and taking adventures.

In retirement, Sam went back to farming and enjoyed his days at the farm. He enjoyed his weekly Thursday lunches with his retired friends. He especially loved visiting and projects with his friends, Carter and Sonny. He enjoyed Saturday lunch dates with Misty and spending time at the casino. Sam loved his fur babies, Sadie May and Peggy Sue.

The special people in Sam's life were his grandchildren, Ayden and Elijah. He took them on many memorable trips. When they were young, Sam became obsessed with buying the newest Skylanders or Disney Infinity characters. He was the best Granpa, aka Sampaw, they could ask for.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Clovis Moore and Mary Sue Moore, and his brothers David and Perry Moore. Last but not least, his beloved four-legged companion Zoe Marie.

Sam is survived by his wife, Misty Moore; daughter, Kelly Moore and husband, Kyle Drury; grandson, Ayden Anzaldua; son, Noah Moore; stepdaughter, Tarah Whatley; and grandson, Elijah Brackett.

Donations may be made to any Electra charity of your choice. He loved living in Electra; it was his home. He was not a perfect man, but he was ours, and he was loved deeply.
