I really struggled with what to write. We were blessed to live next to Sam for the last almost 2 years. He was the type of neighbor that everyone wished they had. He was quiet, respectful & always willing to lend a hand. There was some sort of peace knowing that he was right there. He never failed to say hi when passing through either. Sam, or "Mr Sam" as my kids called him will be deeply missed.
Scott, Tracy, Jake & Lauren- our thoughts are with you..today and every day.

We are so incredibly sorry for the loss of your beautiful son and brother. Sam always had a smile on his face and we have so many wonderful memories of him over the years. He was a regular at the Heinz home especially in middle school and there was constant traffic from our house to the Dobersteins. I vaguely remember that he and Paige shared many days in lunch hour detention together because both of them were constant talkers. He was the class clown and was loved by many. This is how I will remember him, as the funny, outgoing young man that he was. Cherish the memories. May God comfort you during this difficult time. Prayers with all of you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sam was not only a great teammate but a truly good friend. We shared a unique bond-competing for the same position, pushing each other to be better, and holding each other accountable. He was tough, resilient, and had a way of lifting people up with his smile. He´ll be deeply missed.

Scott, Tracy, Jake, and Lauren - our hearts shattered when we received the news of Sam. We´ve known him and your family since he was in 3rd grade. Through the boys we have become good friends. We´ve known Sam to be a tough as nails competitor, but on the inside he was a caring, loving, faithful, gentle soul. We have so many happy and fun memories of Sam. May our Lord bless the Olejnik family and keep Sam comfortably in the palm of His hand.

My daughter has been Sam´s neighbor the last 2 years. I spend a lot of time there so I´d always see Sam in his lunch or when he came home. Always would say hi and wave. Refered to by my grandsons as Mr Sam he will missed.
I´m so very sorry for your family´s loss. Heartbreaking.

Tracy and Scott,
So very sad to learn about Sam. Our prayers go out to you and your family. I still picture Sam in his OYBC jersey running plays on the court, so feisty. May he rest in peace.
