Samuel G. Robberson

Samuel Grant Robberson, age 78, a native of southern Alabama, was born in Fairhope, on November 8, 1946, and remained a lifelong resident until his passing on November 8, 2024.
Sam was a commercial diver, master mechanic and an expert tinkerer. He attended college in Pensacola, FL while working for the Naval Air Station as a private citizen. He was very knowledgeable, self-taught in many areas, even learning to dive on his own and eventually teaching others as well. Whether he was touring on motorcycles or taking out the RV for weeks at a time, a trip on the houseboat or a ride in the bay, Sam had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the wonders thereof. Sam lived a life more than any one man could ever want. Later in life he would find relaxation and peace in his home with the smell of an evening fire and the company of his loving wife.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, David Stanley Sr. and Rose Hipsh Robberson. one brother, David Stanley Jr., and one sister, Julie Robberson.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita "Nita" Robberson of Fairhope AL; one brother, Charlie (Pat) Robberson of Fairhope, AL; one sister, Margaret Rogers of Fairhope, AL; and two step children, Eric Watts of Bay Minette, AL and Theresa Comalander of Bay Minette, AL.
A private memorial will be held at a later time.
