David Ray Robberson was born on October 2nd, 1938 to Ruth and Dr. M.E Robberson in Wynnewood, OK. He passed from this life on July 12th, 2024 in Edmond, OK at the age of 85 surrounded by his loving family.
David Ray grew up in Wynnewood, Graduating from Wynnewood High School. he met his wife Annette, and the two married in a ceremony on June 29th, 1958 and were married for a blissful 62 years until her passing. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played basball in his freshman year and he later transferred and finished out his Bachelors Degree at East Central University.
David was a man of many occupations and hobbies. He and his wife owned and operated Robberson Tag and the local laundromat as well. He went on to work for the Refinery in Wynnewood, working for them for many years until retirement. When he wasn't working his company job, he was working for his community, serving on the Wynnewood Fire Department for 21 years and even serving as Fire Chief in his tenure before retirement. He was also a faithful member of the Kiwanis Club and served as the Lt. Governor for his district, and he loved to fish, joining and becoming the 79th official member of BASS.
David Ray is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annette (Butler) Robberson and his parents, Ruth and Dr. M.E. Robberson.
He is survived by two children; Son Mike and wife Kim Robberson of Edmond and Daughter Laurie and husband Danny Jarman of Wynnewood. Five Grandchildren; Jaymi Jarman & husband Travis Penrod, John Jarman & wife Jazmin, Jeremy Cobb & B.J, Morgan Jones & husband Marcus and Garrett Robberson & Stephanie as well as 5 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday & Friday, July 18-19 from 4-7PM. The family will be receiving guests Friday from 4-6PM. Services are under the direction of the DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood.
