Jody Lynn Sanders

Jody Lynn Sanders, 68, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, passed away on September 28, 2025, in her home in Sulphur. She was born on September 25, 1957, in Beebe, Arkansas, to the late Jim & Betty Sanders. Jody dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center for many years until her retirement. Family was the center of Jody's world. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Sanders and wife Ginger of Davis, Oklahoma. She cherished her seven grandchildren-Mariah and husband Kyle, Jaycee and fiancé Braeden, Seth and wife Tianna, Klaytan, Becca and AJ, Devon, and Raven-and her seven great-grandchildren, Paisley, Greysen, Indy, Bayleigh, Caspien, Carleigh, and Nico. Jody also leaves behind two brothers: Jimmy Sanders and David Sanders and wife JoAnn all of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Jody is also survived by nieces who she claimed as daughters, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved her dearly. Jody loved supporting her family at sporting events and activities, and she especially enjoyed family vacations, gardening, and shopping (with a particular fondness for online shopping). She was known for her lively spirit and sense of humor-always showing up for her loved ones and never missing an event that she was invited to and some that she invited herself to. Jody is preceded in death by her beloved parents Jim & Betty Sanders; her son Robert Little & wife Kay; her brother Pete Sanders and brother Robert Sanders, as well as sister Donna Gehrke. Jody will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Viewing will be held from 1:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at DeArman funeral home in Wynnewood, OK. Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, OK. Services are under the direction of the DeArman Funeral Home.
