Stella Loramae Henderson

Stella Loramae Garrett Henderson, age 90, of Joy, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on October 11, 2025.
Loramae was born on May 12, 1935, in Davis, Oklahoma, to Effie Mae Harrison Garrett Brown and Elmer Garrett, and was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Bud Brown.
On February 4, 1955, she married the love of her life, James Robert Henderson, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and family. The two worked side by side for many years at their appliance store, where she was known for her friendly smile and caring nature.
Loramae was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She loved to cook for everyone, spend time with her grandchildren, and share her warmth and kindness with all who knew her. A true nurturer, she found happiness in taking care of others and was always ready with a comforting meal or a listening ear. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and reflecting on life's blessings.
She is survived by her daughters Jeannie Stahlman, Carolyn Skinner, and Cindi Dixon; grandchildren David Crawford and wife Erin, Dustin Coder and wife Christie, Tara Dugger and husband Justin, Haley Layton and husband Derek, Jonathan Stahlman and Stephany and Jarrett Stahlman and Danielle; and nine great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.
Loramae was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Henderson; her parents, Mae Brown, Elmer Garrett, and Bud Brown; her brothers Eugene Garrett, David Garrett, John Garrett, and Charlie "Buddy" Brown; her grandson Joshua Stahlman; and her son-in-law Dean Dixon.
She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her love of family, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 4-7PM in the DeArman Funeral Home Chapel in Wynnewood. Services will follow on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2PM at the Joy Baptist Church with interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood. Richard Bailey officiating.
