Funeral service for Marilyn Kay Gage will be held at 1pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Ninnekah First Baptist Church, 915 Dell St, in Ninnekah, OK. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Marilyn Kay Paddack Gage passed from this life at age 81 on November 14, 2025 in Norman, Oklahoma. Marilyn was born on December 12, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to parents Lloyd and Marjorie Hubbard Paddack.

Kay had a wonderful childhood with her three siblings and loving parents. She graduated from Lindsay High School in 1962. Kay attended both the University of Oklahoma the Oklahoma State University. She held a Master's degree in Education, a Master's in Biological Sciences, and a Master's degree in Library Science. Kay was also ABD in her PhD studies in Library Science.

Kay was a teacher and Assistant Professor for 44 years. During that time she worked in Topeka, Kansas and the Oklahoma towns of Red Rock, Chickasha, and Alex. She spent time teaching at Oklahoma State University and was the science and engineering librarian. Kay concluded her career in Lindsay, working as the elementary and junior high librarian.

Kay was married to George Edward "Buddy" Gage for over 40 years. Kay never missed a family gathering and was center of attention with her sense of humor and ability to entertain children. She was completely devoted and caring to her husband, parents, siblings, and extended family.

Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Gage; her parents Lloyd and Marjorie Hubbard Paddack; her siblings Shirley Ann Carson and Ronald L. Paddack. She is succeeded by her brother James A. Paddack and his wife Sharon, her sister-in-law Hwa Yun Paddack, members of the Gage family, as well as 11 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
