November 6, 1974 - October 2, 2022
BUTTE - Samuel Amos Rubick, 47, of Butte, father, brother, husband, grandfather and friend left us on October 2, 2022.
Sam was born November 6, 1974, in Butte, Montana to Martin and Athlene (Johnston) Rubick. Samuel graduated from Butte High School in 1993 where he lettered in wrestling.
In his early years he worked in local restaurants including delivering pizzas. Following that, he worked in Elko, Nevada mining for several years and later returned to Butte the place he considered home. Upon returning home he worked for Old Dominion driving trucks and working in the warehouse.
During those years, he married Terri Carter and welcomed two step children, Nicole and Kyle with open arms, and having one of his own, Hailey.
Sam's passion was playing pool, playing in many tournaments throughout Montana and Nevada. Through that time Dave Allen became a big part of Sam's life as a coworker, and fellow pool player.
Sam cherished every moment spent with his granddaughter, Addison, and shared a close bond with his daughter, Hailey, who was the sparkle in his eyes.
Sam is survived by his daughter, Hailey Rubick and stepchildren: Nicole Farren, Kyle Carter; granddaughter, Addison Farren and ex-wife, Terri Carter, all of Butte; sister, Kayleen Smith (Rodeo, CA) and brother, Roy (Idaho Falls) and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dan and sister, Tammy White.
A celebration of life in his remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Silver Bow Athletic Club 3:00 PM followed by a mini pool tournament dedicated to Sam.

Sam was my landlord for many years. He was always a friendly and respectful man, probably the best landlord I've ever had. My deepest condolences to those who knew him best.
