On February 12, 2012, Sam married the love of his life, Lisa A. (Swenson) Russo-his cherished "Bunny." Their sons, Sam and Jeffrey, served as best men at the wedding, where Sam impressively played the dual role of groom and chef. That day, like so many shared between Lisa and Sam, was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. The two were inseparable, always finding joy in one another's company.

Sam was the ultimate family man. He shared a lifelong bond with his cousins and his brother John, who sadly passed in February 2024. Holidays were always a special time in the Russo home, where Sam would host with warmth, humor, and his renowned culinary skills. His Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas prime rib dinners were as beautifully presented as they were delicious. Sam and John's legendary pranks and sense of humor will remain cherished memories for all who were lucky enough to have witnessed.
Known as "Mr. Fix-It," Sam had an uncanny ability to repair just about anything and could often be seen watching You Tube videos and tutorials. Sam was always ready to embrace challenges and found great joy in helping others.
In his downtime, Sam appreciated life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching old cartoons, the show How It's Made, and classic films like Goodfellas and A Bronx Tale.
Sam was a meticulous and organized man who took great pride in everything he did. He cared deeply about his appearance, always dressing thoughtfully for every occasion. A proud American, Sam was deeply patriotic and held his country close to his heart.
Sam Russo will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, humor, and unwavering love for his friends and family. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, talent, and spirit.
Sam was loving and devoted to his family; he took great care of them all and he will be greatly missed.
