Samuel “Sam” Lee Humphries, 67, of Reidsville NC passed into the arms of Jesus on January 26, 2026. A private family gathering to celebrate Sam’s life will be held at a later date.

Sam was born in Oxford, NC on April 21, 1958, to the late J.D. Humphries and Marlene Betty McGee Ayers. Sam was a devoted Dad and Paw-Paw. He worked for John S. Clark until they closed in 2012. Then he went to work for Camco Manufacturing where he retired. Sam loved dancing, fishing, Harley Davidson, being outdoors and bird watching.

Sam was known for his strength, his resilience, and the impact he had on those who knew him. He lived a life shaped by experience, love, and perseverance, and he will be remembered by family and friends who carry on his memory forward. Though he is no longer with us, his presence, voice, and the moments shared with him will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister Reba Humphries.

Survivors included his daughters; Kimberly Humphries, Mindy Meris (Clyde), Angel Hudson (Tech), Heaven Potter, Michelle Seligman (Will), Tiffany Eidson (Trey). His grandkids; Kevin Moore, Kaleb Moore, Lee Ingle, Scarlet Ingle, Dakota Hudson, Alex Potter, Cason Meris, Samuel Hudson, Lindsey Hudson, Treyton Eidson, Kirsi Seligman, Anya Seligman and Tinsley Eidson. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and brother John Ayers.
