Samuel Sterling, 70, of Leesburg, died Friday, July 21, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, FL.
His funeral service will be 10 AM, Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Albany Community Seventh Day Adventist Church with interment to follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
Samuel Sterling was born on August 23, 1952, in St. Catherine, Jamaica to Stanley and Sarah Sterling and migrated to the United States in 1996. He worked as an artificial inseminator in the veterinary division before starting several successful businesses of his own. In addition to his success in his career life, he was a passionate minister of the gospel. He served as a Deacon at the Waterford Seventh Day Baptist church in St. Catherine, Jamaica. He also founded and pastored the Agape Seventh Day Baptist church in New York City for 12 years. He continued to minister in the work of the kingdom for many years after retiring as a pastor. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him and were blessed by his life.—
He is survived by his wife Jacinta Sterling, Leesburg, daughters, Sheena Sterling-Fyffe (Jamaal), Toronto, Canada, Samara Sterling, Leesburg, grandchildren, Manoah, Saraeyah, Judah, and Shalom Fyffe, brothers, Keith Sterling, Winston Sterling, Peter Sterling, and sisters, Myrna Sterling and Yvonne Keyes.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
