Samuel Joe "Sammy" Turner

Samuel "Sammy" Joe Turner, 39, a resident of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Sammy was born in Joplin, Missouri, on January 3, 1987, to Samuel Turner and Tina (Cox) Johnson. Sammy enjoyed working with his hands. He worked many laborer jobs, the last being at NEO Fab in Miami. When he was not working, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. More than anything he loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved to help people and make them laugh. Sammy loved being a dad. No matter what in life he always put his children before everything. Sammy is preceded in passing by his father Samuel Turner.

Those left to share the memory of Sammy include his wife, Hannah Pogue, children, Samuel Turner Jr., Dru Foreman, Anthony Foreman, Seth Turner, Cameron Foreman, mother, Tina Johnson and her husband Jim, two sisters, Ashely Gaines and her husband Ricky, and Natalie Turner, four nieces and one nephew.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Singleton, Troy Turner, Jake Hull, Daniel Espinosa, JDalton Pogue, Ricky Gaines.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service to assist with funeral expenses for Sammy.

Cremation Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 24, 2025, at Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce, Oklahoma.
