In Loving Memory of Sandhyarati Chowdhury
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Ma, Sandhyarati Chowdhury, affectionately known as Thamma, Dida, Mejdi, Mejo-boudi, Mejo-pishi, Mejo-mami, and by many other endearing names. Her love, selflessness, and kindness were not just qualities but the very essence of her being. These will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
While we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our Baba, her beloved husband, Himangshu Chowdhury, who departed last May. Together again, their journey continues in eternity, their bond unbroken by time.
A devoted wife and doting mother, Sandhyarati's life was a testament to true sacrifice. She always placed her family's needs above hers, embodying selflessness in its purest form. She and Baba welcomed everyone with open hearts, sharing whatever they had with generosity and grace.
Her resilience was unmatched. She willingly set aside personal aspirations to ensure her family thrived, creating a home built on love, warmth, and unwavering support. Despite the demands of caring for others, she never stopped living, constantly uplifting those around her with quiet strength and boundless love.
To those who knew her, she was the best cook in the world. Her meals, infused with love, turned the simplest dish into a feast of comfort and joy. Her kitchen was always open, a reflection of her generosity of spirit, bringing warmth to all who sat at her table. Every meal she prepared was a cherished memory, a reminder of the love she poured into everything she did.
She was deeply loved by family, friends, and even strangers, whom she touched with warmth and kindness. Her presence was a gift, her life a lesson in grace, and her love a beacon that will continue to guide us. Though our sorrow is immeasurable, so is the love and wisdom she imparted. These will not fade with her passing but will remain with us, shaping our lives as she always did.
She will be deeply missed, but her kindness, strength, and selflessness will live on in all who knew her, inspiring us to carry forward her spirit. We are profoundly grateful for the love and support we have received during this difficult time.
With love and remembrance,
Her son, Debabrata, and daughters, Shaswati and Jayati, and the rest of her family
May she rest in peace, embraced by the same love she so freely gave.
