Sandra Page (Boyce) Abreu, 86, formerly of New Bedford, MA passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 peacefully with family at her side on Bailey Island, ME.
Sandy was born in Richmond, VA on April 29, 1938. She later moved to New Bedford, MA with her mother, Bernice Mae (Hoban) Rose and brother, Eljin T. Boyce Jr. Sandy graduated from New Bedford high school in 1957 and went on to be a beautician for many years. She later became a receptionist at a busy dental practice where she enjoyed close relationships with her coworkers and the patients.
She was a kind, gentle, and selfless women with a great sense of humor. Her faith, resilience and grace have left an enduring impact on those who knew her. One of Sandy's greatest joys was her family. She loved to travel with her close friends or her family and going to the beach with her daughter, Wendy. She also enjoyed reading and later in life listening to audio books. Sandy had loved attending church and singing in the choir. Sandy found pleasure in eating out and all forms of entertainment. Some of her favorites were the New England Patriots, Classic movies, The Bachelor, Young and the Restless and Dancing with the Stars.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Knoblauch of Illinois, daughter Bobbie-Lee Collins of Washington, son Michael Abreu and wife Whitney of Maine, daughter Wendy Reardon and husband Gary of Massachusetts and son Peter Abreu and wife Carole of Rhode Island. Also 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Saturday November 30th @ 10:30 at TnT Bible Church in Topsham, Maine.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital or The American Heart Association. Condolences may be shared at FuneralAlternatives.net
