Sandra Kay Norton was born March 6, 1944 in Durand, MI a daughter of John and Phyllis (Walworth) Norton. Sandra was a graduate of Corunna High School in 1962. On February 22, 1964 she married Frank Ackerman. Sandra enjoyed crafting, ceramics, going camping at Brown's Landing, golfing, traveling, going to Myrtle Beach, cooking, cleaning, being active in the church and spending time with family. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Woolworth's Department Store for over 20 years, Shiawassee County at Register of Deeds for 10 years and Veteran's Affairs for 10 years.
Sandra is survived by her son, Craig Ackerman (Melissa Davis); grandchildren, Justin (Jacie) Ackerman and Andrea (Connor) Boike; great granddaughter, Charlotte Boike; sister, Brenda (Bill) Bohman; niece, Kelly (Tom) Simmons; nephew, Ryan Bohman; cousin, Scott Shelp and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ackerman; son, Kenny Ackerman; parents, John and Phyllis Norton; and brother, Richard Norton.

I remember all the camping trips our families took. Our parents playing cards late into the night. The special phrases she taught us with the colorful metaphors in them. With much love.
