Sandra N. Andos

Sandra N. Andos, 86, of Valley City, Ohio, passed on August 24, 2025. Born on November 8, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Gabriel and Elsie (Nakonski) Varkonyi. She dedicated her life to helping others, working as a speech pathologist and special education teacher for Brunswick City Schools for 33 years, as well as volunteering at The Society (formerly The Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County).

Sandra attended St. Stephen High School in Cleveland. She also earned her bachelor's degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and her master's degree from The University of Akron.

Sandra lived a life full of passion and love. She was an avid reader, a devoted gardener who found peace among her flowers, and a woman with a deep passion for travel across the U.S. and the world. Her greatest companion in recent years was her beloved dog, Rocco, with whom she shared countless adventures in dock diving, agility classes, and through her circle of "dog friends." Above all else, she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Andos. Sandra is survived by her children, Mark (Tricia) Andos, Terese Andos, Nicholas Andos, Karin Rupert, and Michelle Andos; her grandchildren, Karly (Ryan) Eubank, Logan (Meghan) Andos, Conrad Andos, Christina Haupt (Oliver), Max Haupt, Nicholas Andos, Desire Boyd, and Georgia Rupert; and great-grandchildren, Ford, Foster, Rio, Margot, Daphne, Helena, Lincoln, and Robin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Road, Valley City.
