Christopher M. Burns

Christopher Burns, 39, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 21, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 13, 1986, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Mary and Elmer Burns.

Chris was a graduate of Brunswick High School and the Medina County Career Center, where he learned to become an accomplished welder. Chris used these talents throughout his career, but most importantly, he used this craft to do small side jobs for friends and family, including spending many nights "in the garage" with his dad, both breaking and fixing things.

Chris was born with the racing gene that his father had. He loved spending time at the race track or simply watching a race on TV with his dad and cousins. In addition to racing, Chris also loved fishing and building model cars and rockets. More than anything, Chris loved his family, especially the time he spent with his nephews.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Mary Burns of Brunswick; his brothers, Bob (Katie) Burns and Jonathan (Robin) Burns; his cherished sister, Julie Burns; and his nephews, Matthew and Jacob Burns, all of Brunswick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Burns.

The family will welcome guests from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City, Ohio.
