Gavynn Cole Patterson

Gavynn Cole Patterson, 18, of Rittman passed away in a tragic accident while going to help a friend in need. He was born September 17, 2006, in Akron to Brandon and Felicia Patterson. Gavynn was a miracle from the beginning, he beat the odds over and over. Very seldom did you ever see Gavynn without a smile on his face.
He was a graduate of Cloverleaf High School and the Medina County Career Center class of 2025.
Gavynn enjoyed hanging out with his siblings, taking his sister shopping, hunting, motorcycles, flying, working on cars and hanging out with his friends. He was good at working on things and was always helping every and anyone. Gavynn got on a bull twice and hurt himself and he still laughed about it. He always looked at the glass as being half full and that there was always something to be greatfull for. He will be missed by all who knew him. He didn't know a stranger and would always take time to help anyone no matter the situation. He was an old sole.
He was preceded in death by his great grandpa and grandpa Shields, aunt, Clarissa Vaughn, grandpa, Cecil Vaughn, grandpa, William C. Patterson Sr. and several other family and friends.
Gavynn is survived by his mother Felicia, father Brandon, brothers: Dominick, Seth, Bryce, Alex (Taylor) and sisters Sirrayah and Katie (Jake) Rice. He is also survived by his grandmas Joyce Vaughn and Mary Richwine Bright, many aunts, uncles, four nieces and numerous friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00PM Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Pastor Jeff Doeringer officiating. The family will receive friend two hours prior to the service from 11am – 1pm.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested payable to Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
