Linda Lou Nester

Linda Lou (nee: Ellis) Simon Nester, born February 11, 1944, in Chelyan, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, with her daughter by her side to join husbands, Thomas J. Simon and Samuel J. Nester in eternal joy.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy (Massey) Ellis; brothers, Bobby and Donald Ellis; sisters, Shirley Manley and Connie Snyder; and sons-in-law, John McCarty and Jeremy Brown.

She is survived by her sister, Brenda (Mike) Hornyak; brother-in-law, Raymond Bert Snyder; sister-in-law, Janet Ellis; children, Tonya Brown, Tina McCarty, Toby (Kelly) Nester, Lynn (Jim) Billman, Julie Nester, and Lorri (Jackey) Bailey. There are 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family; she was so proud of each and every one of them. Known for her "get up and go" attitude, she embraced every opportunity to explore and create memories, always guided by her adventurous heart and free spirit, ready for a trip no matter how near or far.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Auble Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman Street, Wadsworth, from 4:00 pm to 6:45 pm. A Rosary will be led at 6:45 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth, with Fr. Joe Robinson officiating. Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
