Sandra Andrew Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel - Ontario on Dec. 13, 2025.
Sandra Andrew died December 4th 2025 at the age of 76 in Nyssa, Oregon. She was born July 31, 1949 in Vancouver, Washington. Sandi passed away peacefully at home after a short 6-week battle with pancreatic cancer surrounded by family. Her family, friends, and most everyone who ever met her will miss her immensely. Per her request, there will be no services.

Sandra J. Andrew (Zaske) was born July 31, 1949 in Vancouver Wash., to Hank and Joan (Bucholtz) Zaske. She spent her youth in Orchards, Washington and graduated in 1967 from Evergreen High School. On November 3, 1967, Sandi married Dale Andrew. Sandi and Dale had two children, Wendi and John and were married for 50 years before Dale's passing in 2008.

Sandi and Dale moved their family to Battle Ground, Washington in 1981 to a little farm where they had a few animals and enjoyed that lifestyle.

In 1985, the family moved to Ocean Park, Washington on the Long Beach Peninsula where Sandi worked as a restaurant manager for a time and at the Grange bingo hall in Long Beach.

In 2002, Sandi and Dale retired to a small farm in Nyssa, Oregon as Dale wanted to have some cows, and to dry out in the desert. Sandi did not enjoy the cows as much as she did the fishing and the camping that retirement brought.

Her parents, Hank Zaske and Joan Cook, her husband Dale, and her brother's Ronald Zaske and Kenneth Zaske preceded her in death.

Sandi is survived by her children, Wendi and Russell Simpson, John and Jerrie Andrew; her brothers, Dennis (Karen) Zaske, Tracy Zaske, Terry Bunch; her grandchildren, Erik and Ashley Andrew, Philip Andrew, Kenny Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Cassandra Johnson, and Auston Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Madyx Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Axel Andrew, Luna Andrew, and Morgan Rassmussen as well as all the rest that called her Grandma or GG.
