Sandra Bernice Atnip of Neosho, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on June 11, 1940, in Kenyon, Minnesota, to Oscar Claus Morkre and Ida Gurina Broin.

After graduating high school, Sandra went on to complete two years of college, becoming a licensed practical nurse. She worked at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Missouri, where she cared for others with skill and compassion and was honored as "Nurse of the Year."

On April 2, 1960, she married Darrell Atnip, at Dale Lutheran Church in Kenyon, Minnesota. They shared 65 wonderful years together. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin and a woman of strong faith.

Sandra treasured every moment spent fishing and traveling with her husband, creating lasting memories in the North Georgia Mountains, Florida and Canada. She embraced life's joys through laughter, playing games and shared meals with friends.

Known for her wonderful cooking, Sandra's delicious dishes brought comfort and happiness to many gatherings. Most importantly, she will be remembered for her kindness, her deep love for family, and her steadfast faith in God.

Sandra's legacy will continue to inspire all who were touched by her warmth and spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell, of the home; three children, Craig (Sandy) Atnip of Anderson, Missouri, Brian Atnip of Neosho, Missouri, and Rhonda (Rob) Todd of Lexington, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Joe Owens, Ashley Benz, Steven Atnip, and Zachary Hagen; and eight great-grandchildren, Brock, Katherine, Veronica, Abigail, John, Phoenix, Titus and Ember.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida Morkre, and her siblings, Ordean and Ione.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
