Sandra Jean Benavidez

Sandra Benavidez passed away on November 8, 2023 at 69 years of age.

She is survived by her sisters, Connie Zingsheim, Mary Dionne (Chris), Rosa Jackson (Elmo); her nieces, Wendy Salazar (Mike), Debra Garcia and her partner Ashley; her nephews, Scott Jackson (Brittany), Ron Perez (Minda), and Randy De La Rosa. She is also survived by numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Maria Ybarra Benavidez; sister, Violanda De La Rosa, and brothers-in-law, Herb Zingsheim and Gilbert De La Rosa.

Sandra graduated college in 1974 with an Associates Degree in Business. She carried her skills to a career in the banking profession for over 45 years, with the majority of those years spent at Nations Bank and Bank of America as a project manager in Dallas, Texas. She was a devoted sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved solving puzzles, watching movies, shopping, and enjoying a steak dinner. Sandra looked at life with an optimistic spirit and loved to laugh. She was happiest when spending time with her family and those who lovingly called her Shin.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Sawyer George Funeral Home.
