Sandra "Sue" Bennett, born on October 22, 1944, in Madisonville, LA, received her heavenly reward on April 11, 2025, in New Boston, MI, at the age of 80. After a courageous battle with cancer, she left this world surrounded by the love of her family.

Sue was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank "Iddo" and Adrean Fitzgerald, and her dear sister Patsy Lauster and her husband Paul. Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew her, yet her spirit and love continue to inspire all.

Sue shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband of 61 years, Harry C. Bennett, whom she married on April 4, 1964. Together, they built a family rooted in love and faith. She is survived by her cherished children: daughter Kerrie Hiuser and her husband Brad, son Jeff Bennett and his wife Aundra, and daughter Nicolle Bennett.

In addition to her children, Sue's legacy includes seven treasured grandchildren: Sarah Baldwin-Machesky and her husband Bryant, Elizabeth Zemon and her husband David, Maddie Machesky, Abby Machesky, Ben Machesky, Zach Bennett and his wife Emma, and Taylor Raymond and her husband Toby. Her four great-grandchildren, Eli and Charlotte Zemon, and Declan and Liam Bennett, were a source of immense joy and pride for her.

A Celebration of Life service honoring Sue will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 10:00am at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, located at 30895 W. Huron River Dr., Flat Rock, with Reverend Ken Shelton officiating. Family and friends are also invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Wednesday, April 16, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, MI.

Sue Bennett's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and her faith in Christ. She touched the hearts of everyone she encountered with her kindness and strength. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on through the generations she has nurtured and inspired.
